This guide outlines the usage steps for Self-Service Password Recovery for BU Students, Alumni, & Retirees. You can use these steps to change your BU Password even if you have forgotten what it was.
- PLEASE NOTE: To make use of this tool, you must have already configured your BU Password Recovery Setup. Instructions are here: BU Azure - Additional Security Settings

Performing Self-Service Password Recovery
1) On any internet browser, visit https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com
2) Enter both your BU Email Address (not just your BU Username) and the characters it asks for in the picture to continue.
3) Choose "I forgot my password" and click "Next".
4) Select your preferred option on how the account servers need to verify who you are, follow the instructions on the screen, and type in the verification code that you would of received when you are prompted.
5) Once you have passed your validation step, you can then change your BU password.

You are done! You will receive a notification that your password has been changed.
