If you are an individual filling out your Brandon University Online Application Form, and running into problems in the 'Application Fee' Section, here are some helpful tips and notes to be aware of.
If the 'Pay' button at the bottom of the screen does not light up
At the very end of an BU Online Application payment page, you will need to agree to the "reCAPTCHA" verification screen. If it is accepted, you will receive a green checkmark seen below. Only once the info is entered and you receive a green checkmark will the 'Pay' button at the bottom of the screen be enabled and allow you to proceed.
If after clicking the Pay button, you get an error ('Payment not Processed', or something similar)
This means that when attempting to validate all of your information, something was not accepted. Here is what is needed to be checked:
- The BU Online Application payment page is not able to process Debit Card information from banks or financial institutions, only Credit Card information.
- All information associated with the credit card, including the cardholder's name, must exactly match the information that the bank or financial institution has within their file regarding the credit card. Any mis-typed name, incorrect spellings, or missing info will cause the processing of the payment to fail.
- For Address Information, make sure to use the "Billing Address" that is used with the Credit Card's information; do not use any other residence or living address if that is not what's on file with your card at the bank.
- Do not enter any spaces in the 'Card Number' field, simply just type the entire group of numbers that is found on the front of your Credit Card
- Make sure to leave the 'ADDRESS LINE 2' field blank on the payment form, unless you bank or financial institution actually requires and uses that address info on your credit card.
- Any credit card with an expired date will not be accepted
- The payment screen with the most recognized global credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, DISCOVER). Other Credit cards from other banks or financial institutions may work, but cannot be guaranteed to do so.
After checking all of the above, if you still have issues submitting the payment, please provide us the personal email address that you had used to create your BU online application with, along with the exact error message that you are receiving, and we can try to assist further.
