BU has provisioned certain online-only platforms through accessing the BU Office365 portal page.  If you have been instructed to access a BU program or system through Office365 portal, here are the steps on how to do so.

Here is a partial list:

  • FAMIS360
  • AMLA/PRIMO Production

Accessing the BU Office365 Portal

  • Log on using your BU email address and BU password
    • If you have "DUO MFA" or "Microsoft MFA" enabled on your account, follow the prompts on the screen to complete the login

When you are logged in, you will see the BU Office365 portal, with your initials in the upper right corner.

Locating A Third-party App

1) Try typing the name of the app in the Search Bar at the top of the screen. If the appropriate App icon shows up, you can click on it and be taken to the App's page.

OR

2) If you are unsure of the name of the App, or want to view all Apps that are under your account, click on the 9-dot image in the upper-left-hand corner of the banner bar, as seen in the image below

A display of 'Pinned' Apps are shown.  If you still do not see the App, click on the link that says All Apps, and then use the mini scroll-bar to look at the list.  Most third-party Apps added by BU will likely be at the very bottom of the list.

Unfortunately, there is no option to pin or place third-party icons on the left-hand bar on the Office365 Portal.

When looking at an app, you can click on the three dots on an app at the bottom of the list and choose "Pin App", which will move it to the Pinned Apps list seen in the previous image above.

Troubleshooting

  • If you are still unable to locate the App or its icon, please contact the relevant management team or department for the software portal app, who will have to notify BU IT Services to validate your access to the requested app, in order for the App and its icon to be visible. Most third-party BU apps in Office365 are not managed by BU IT Services.
  • Although you may be able to see a App Icon, it could be that you still have restrictions in actually accessing the application in question. If you receive an error when clicking on the App, please contact the relevant BU department in charge of managing the app, to verify your BU account has been enabled for access to the app in question.
