ArcGIS Pro not opening after new install

This issue arises after the program has been freshly installed.  In most instances the program will not launch and there are no error messages.  After the program launches normally once, it will continue to open properly from the Start/Program menu.

There is no shortcut on the Desktop, but the program is listed in the Program/Start Menu.

If the program does not open, right click on the task bar – select ‘Task Manger’, click ‘More details’ to expand the screen listing.

Under ‘Background processes’ look for “ArcGIS Pro’.  Click once to highlight ‘ArcGIS Pro’ then click the ‘End Task’ button towards the bottom right-hand corner of the window.

To launch ArcGIS Pro, go to the program in the Program/Start Menu, and right click on it.  Select ‘More’ and then select ‘Run as Administrator’; this should properly launch the program.  After it launches properly for the first time on a computer, you should be able to launch it normally after that from the Start Menu.
